COLOMBO (News 1st) – A stock of beedi imported illegally from India was found in Wanathawillu, Puttalam. The stock of beedi weighing 1059.4 kg was discovered hidden in a mangrove reserve. The raid was carried out based on a tip-off. A suspect fled the scene and the police are conducting further investigations.
