COLOMBO (News 1st) – A survey has revealed that 10,000 couples in Sri Lanka are not legally married. The Registrar General’s Department stated that these legally unmarried couples have caused numerous negative impacts to society. However, Registrar General N.C Vithanage noted that a program to immediately issue marriage certificates to these unmarried couples has already been prepared.
