COLOMBO (News1st): Former Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Shani Abeysekara has been transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for an angiogram test, the prisons department said. Abeysekara had been under medical care at the Infectious Diseases Hospital after contracting COVID-19. The former CID director has been remanded for allegedly fabricating evidence over a case.
