2,436 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday (16); 561 COVID cases from Gampaha

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka recorded a total of 2,436 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday (16), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO). 2,419 COVID cases were from the Post-New Year Cluster and the remaining 17 were those who tested positive for the coronavirus after returning from overseas.
