COLOMBO (News 1st): The Department of Meteorology has issued an amber alert for heavy rain until 12:00 p.m. tomorrow (02). Accordingly, very heavy rains above 150mm can be expected at some places in the Northern, North-Central, North-Western and Eastern Provinces while heavy showers above 100mm can be expected in Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.
