Colombo (News 1st): Electricity to over 8000 consumers has been temporarily suspended due to the prevailing weather conditions. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, Sulakshana Jayawardene noted that this decision was reached for safety purposes. Accordingly, electricity to 7000 consumers in Matara and 1000 consumers in Galle has been suspended.
